Buddy Walk Goals
To promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
To raise funds locally for education, research, support, and advocacy.
To enhance the positon of the Down syndrome community, enabling
us to positively influence local andnational policy and practice.
Funds
raised by the PDSSN are used for parent resource notebooks, scholarships,
programs, and family support gatherings. The PDSSN works with area
health care providers, schools, employers, and the general community
to increase their knowledge and understanding of Down syndrome and
to encourage full community inclusion.
The
Piedmont Down Syndrome Support Network is a community family support
group which seeks to improve the quality of life for people who
are effected by Down Syndrome. We provide support and information
to the families and promote community inclusion.
Our
organization is strictly a volunteer one with no overhead. All gifts
are tax deductible through The PDSSN #20-3131948.
